What to Expect From Apple’s iPhone 15 Event

Apple is set to unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 15, at a special event on September 12.

The event, which will be streamed live from the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, is expected to showcase not only the new iPhone, but also other products and services from the tech giant.

Here are some of the rumors and predictions about what to expect from Apple’s iPhone 15 event:

Action Button

The new iPhone 15 models are reported to come with an action button similar to the one on the Apple Watch Ultra.

This button is reported to replace the mute toggle and could allow users to assign shortcuts to different apps and utilities.

New Camera System

The iPhone 15 is expected to have a better camera system than its predecessor, especially for the Pro model.  The iPhone 15 Max or Ultra may exclusively get a periscope lens with up to 6x optical zoom.

Longer battery life

The iPhone 15 may have a longer battery life than the iPhone 14, thanks to a larger battery capacity and a more efficient processor.

USB-C Port

All the iPhone 15 lineup will reportedly come with a USB-C port with the Pro and Pro Max coming with higher data transfer rates.

Both premium models will come with “at least” USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3, while the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will support USB 2.0.
