Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an update through Instagram Channels stated that the WhatsApp Channels feature will be rolling out to users worldwide.

WhatsApp’s “Channels” allows users to receive updates from people and organizations, right within WhatsApp.

Channels are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, videos, stickers, and polls. WhatsApp is currently building a searchable directory where users can find hobbies, sports teams, updates from local officials, and more.

The feature is similar to Telegram which lets you receive updates from creators, organizations, and brands from a single channel.
