8th Edition Of Tech In Ghana Conference Kicks Off On 25th – 26th November

In partnership with the Ghanaian Digital Innovation Week beginning on 22nd November, the Tech In Ghana conference will be returning with its 8th edition on Thursday 25th November and end on Friday 26th November.

The event will start with a virtual edition on Thursday and have an in-person event on Friday at the Accra International Conference Center.

What is Tech in Ghana?

The leading UK-Ghana platform that brings together Ghana’s tech ecosystem for global knowledge sharing, meaningful networking, and to showcase innovation. Since launching in 2017, the platform has given a platform to over 400 decision-making stakeholders.

Why Should You Attend?

Keeping with tradition, TIG 2021 will gather policymakers (Ministry of Communications), mobile network operators (MTN), tech conglomerates (Meta), private sector players (Farmerline), banks (GCB) academia (Ashesi University), ecosystem builders (Ghana Hubs Network), development agencies (GIZ) and more.

What Can I Expect From The Virtual Event On Day 1?

Hosted on Zoom from 9am-4pm, expect Ghana’s mobile trends and insights from GSMA Intelligence; success stories from hubs and startups across Africa’s ecosystem, a women in tech segment; and a session with the Tony Blair Institute. Other highlights include keynotes from the British High Commission Accra and Ghana High Commission UK, plus a workshop by Unedited to teach entrepreneurs how to leverage podcasts for their business.

What can I expect from the In-Person Event On Day 2?

Hosted at the Accra International Conference Centre, expect updates on Ghana’s national digital agenda from the Ministry of Communications and National Identification Authority, plus talks about tech’s role in the AfCFTA; Connecting the Unconnected, Social Entrepreneurship, the eCedi, and more – all led by industry experts.

Event sponsors Meta will lead a Boost with Facebook training session not to be missed by entrepreneurs and SMBs on the day too (this workshop will also be streamed live on zoom).
