Farmart Makes Online Grocery Shopping Convenient For Ghanaian Shoppers

Farmart is an online farmer’s market in Ghana that links farmers to homes and businesses in a whole new smart way. Farmart sources fresh local produce and groceries from farmers and deliver to homes and businesses when an order is placed on their website. Similar to other concepts like Amazon Fresh, Farmart is offering a similar concept for the Ghanaian market.

How It Works

Customers log onto the website shop for different items on Farmart or choose their type of Farmart Box. They have the options of either Fruity, Vegetable/Fruity, and Veggie Box. Customers the proceed to checkout and submit their order by filling in details including delivery frequency.

Orders are received the next day and a customer can pay by cash. Fees for delivery are as follows:

  • Accra – 20 GHC
  • Kasoa – 25 GHC
  • Tema  – 30 GHC

Customers can also opt for subscription orders (weekly or monthly) and may pay a day before delivery via Tigo cash (+233 577 669811).

Customers can shop all their fresh produce and cooking ingredients on the Farmart website at the comfort of their homes or offices and have them delivered to them anywhere in Accra. Categories of products include Dairy and Poultry, Herbs, Meats and Seafood and Fruits and Vegetables.

Registration is optional as customers can browse and check out items as a guest shoppers. Registered customers, however, will be given special rewards such as coupons and entry for special promotions.

Payment Options And Delivery

Farmart offers various payment options for customers. They accept cash on delivery as well as Mobile Money payment including Tigo Cash, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money and Vodafone Cash.

Farmart makes deliveries from 3 pm to 6 pm on the day of order if the order is made before 12 pm. Orders made after 12 pm will be delivered the next day. Delivery is free for any orders above 50 GHC.

Customers will receive confirmation emails and will also be contacted by phone for confirmation of delivery. Areas for delivery at the moment include Accra and Tema.
