SSNIT Will Allow Users To Pay Pensions Through Mobile Money And Bank Transfers

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) is planning to introduce a feature that will allow for the payment of pension contributions through mobile money and bank account transfers.

The Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), John Ofori-Tenkorang says the institution is planning to launch this feature along with a digital platform by the end of 2021.

Through the new online platform, users can pay using mobile money accounts as well as use their online bank accounts for making payments.

SSNIT will also be sanctioning employers who submit contribution reports for employees without the new Ghana Cards in 2022.
