Uber, the popular ride-hailing service in Ghana, has signed a 3-year partnership with Ghana Football Association (GFA) to become its official e-hailing partner.

With this partnership agreement, Uber will develop services for football fans to travel and watch domestic league and national team matches in the Greater Accra Region, Kumasi, Cape Coast, Tamale, Takoradi, and Sunyani.

The agreement will provide football fans with special services including dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas, promo codes, and affordable discounted rates.

VIP viewing areas will also be provided at various match venues for drivers operating on the Uber app. Uber is the latest addition to the GFA’s sponsors as the Association continues to attract support from Corporate bodies.

The announcement was made at a press conference which included GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, GFA Vice President Mark Addo, and Uber Ghana Country Manager Marjorie Saint-Lot.
