Snapchat Redesigns Their App For Easier User

By Joseph-Albert Kuuire 1 Min Read

I am not the biggest user of Snapchat. I occasionally use here and there but it’s not really my cup of tea. I even wrote an article detailing how I felt the app was more of an instant gratification for users than anything else. But it’s definitely a fan favorite among the younger generation.

Today, the company rolled out a new redesign for their mobile application. With the new design, there is now a seperation between “social” and “media”. What this mean is  that the Chats and Stories from your friends are on the left side of Snapchat, and the Stories from publishers, creators, and the community are on the right.

Users who open the app will still be greeted by the camera so nothing much has changed in that department.

The question is whether this new design will lift the fortunes of Snapchat which has not been doing very well in of lately.

There’s no knowing the amount of Snapchat users in Ghana but certainly, the avid users will welcome this new update. Whether it will draw in new users is another thing.
