Mercer’s annual Cost of Living City Ranking provides valuable trends and insights for those who need to make informed decisions about global mobility operations and international assignees.

The ranking lists cities from the most expensive to the least expensive places to live.

For Africa, the cities of Abuja, Lagos, and Blantyre came out as the top 3 cities with the lowest cost of living.

The other cities were followed were:

  • Durban (South Africa)
  • Windhoek (Namibia)
  • Gaborone (Botswana)
  • Lusaka (Zambia)
  • Tunis (Tunisia)
  • Cape Town (South Africa)
  • Johannesburg (South Africa)
