Investing in Innovation Africa (i3), a pan-African initiative supporting healthtech startups to scale and commercialize, is accepting applications for its 3rd cohort until February 28th.
The details
- What’s offered: Selected startups will receive flexible grants, tailored mentorship, and introductions to potential customers to secure partnerships.
- Early-stage startups will receive $50K each.
- Growth-stage startups focused on pharmacy care will receive $225K each.
- Impact goals: i3 aims to facilitate 150 connections between startups and healthcare organizations, worth at least $30M, to improve patient access and create local jobs.
- Eligibility: The cohort will include 15 startups: 10 early-stage innovators in healthcare delivery or product distribution, and 5 growth-stage ventures building pharmacy care solutions.
Why it matters
In two years, i3 has empowered 60 startups across 16 African countries, distributing $3M in grants, enabling $11M+ in contracted partnerships, and creating nearly 1,000 jobs—half held by women.
