Paystack Introduces ‘Pay with Bank Transfer’ in Ghana

1 Min Read

Paystack has launched a new payment option in Ghana — Pay with Bank Transfer — allowing merchants to accept payments directly from customers’ banking apps or via USSD, in addition to existing methods like cards, MoMo, USSD, and Apple Pay.

Why it matters

The new feature gives businesses and customers more flexibility and security, particularly for large transactions that exceed mobile money wallet limits.

It also streamlines reconciliation, with all payment types visible in one unified Paystack Dashboard.

How it works:

  1. Customers select Pay with Bank Transfer at checkout.
  2. Paystack generates a unique account number for that transaction.
  3. Customers transfer funds using their bank app or USSD.
  4. The payment is instantly verified and appears on the merchant’s dashboard.

Pricing

The fees remain the same as other Paystack payment channels.

Availability

The feature is automatically enabled for all Ghanaian Paystack merchants and is available for use immediately.
