meQasa Set to Host Ghana’s Biggest Housing Fair

In 2013, three students from the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) founded meQasa, an online real estate marketplace that facilitates the discovery of available properties for sale or rent in Ghana.

meQasa’s efforts have mostly been online but that’s changing. The company organized a housing fair in 2017 as another avenue to foster business for its clients who offer residential and commercial real estate options for property seekers.

meQasa Property Expo 2018The company is hosting its second housing fair, the meQasa Property Expo this year from June 1 – 3 at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra. Touted as the biggest housing fair in Ghana, the expo will bring together Ghana’s top real estate developers, mortgage specialists, housing experts and retailers of everything you need in a home. It is an opportunity for real estate investors and seekers to experience meQasa offline.

According to co-founder, Kelvin Nyame, “hosting a housing fair is a natural progression for meQasa”. The company is committed to its “mission of creating an efficient housing search experience and to be the go-to source for reliable information on housing in Africa”.

It is interesting to see meQasa, a five-year-old tech startup, venture into this space which is dominated by the Ghana Home Loans Housing Fair and the Habitat Housing Fair organized by GHL Bank and Multimedia Group respectively. Ecobank also entered the space last year with its maiden housing fair. This expo, if done well, would increase meQasa’s brand visibility even further and give other industry players a run for their money.

meQasa’s growth over the years has been exciting. After acquiring its rival Jumia House Ghana, the company is now Ghana’s leading real estate portal boasting an extensive array of property listings across the country.

With housing costs at an all-time high in Ghana, this expo should provide seekers and investors with alternative housing options to consider. Early registration is highly recommended for this free 3-day event. Additional information about the meQasa Property Expo can be found at meqasa.com/expo.

Come interact with top real estate developers and professionals at the Aviation Social Centre from June 1st – 3rd 2018. Register for the expo here.
