A while back, there was news that Twitter would be rolling out “conversational features” in order to help promote conversations on Twitter.

Twitter has begun rolling out these new features as part of a beta program for select users.

For beta users, a green bubble will appear beside their usernames when they’re online and using the app.

Another feature for beta testers will be “ice breaker” tweets which are supposed to help start a conversation about specific topics.

The new features are supposed to help encourage health conversations on the platform and cut down harassment and hateful content.

Twitter will begin accepting applications from users in the upcoming weeks to participate in the beta program
