By Joseph-Albert Kuuire 1 Min Read

Stripe, the popular technology company which allows individuals and businesses to receive payments over the internet recently posted a job listing that would suggest that they’re gearing for a launch in the African region.

At the moment, the payment processing company is available in the US, Europe, and parts of South America but hasn’t expanded to any African country yet.

According to the job posting, Stripe is looking for “an exceptional business development leader to join the Financial Partnerships team to accelerate the execution of Stripe’s go to market strategies in the Middle East and Africa. This role will be responsible for defining and executing all aspects of the partnerships with financial institutions, acquirers, and card networks needed for Stripe to enter high impact regional markets.”

The question is when does Stripe plan on officially launch and whether it would be this year in 2019.

We’ll have to keep track and see what Stripe does next in the coming months.
