According to 2022 data from Ghana’s Statistical Services, the Government government has employed an estimated 668,000 workers for various services across the country.
The data showed that the Greater Accra region had the highest number of employees with 113,723. It was followed by the Ashanti Region, with an estimated 125,333 employees.
Greater Accra also had averaged the highest salary with workers averaging GHC 3,142 per month.
