Ghana National Communications Authority Instructs ATC To Reconnect Power To Telecel Ghana

ATC stated on record that Telecel Ghana had failed to make payments for power supply

The National Communications Authority (NCA) of Ghana has instructed American Tower Corporation (ATC) to reconnect power supply to the network equipment of Telecel Ghana.

Details

Following a meeting with the Ministry of Communication and Digitalisation and NCA, ATC Ghana was instructed to reconnect all Telecel Ghana sites by mid-day on Saturday 6th July 2024.

ATC was also instructed to retract its publication on Telecel Ghana in the media. The NCA will arbitrate the issue between Telecel Ghana and ATC.

On July 4th, ATC Ghana sent out a press release announcing that they were suspending power supply to Telecel Ghana to power its network equipment. The company stated that Telecel Ghana has failed in its power obligations to supply power to network equipment
