Meta has announced that users on Instagram will now be able to post GIFs in the comment section of posts and reels

Available To Everyone

The feature was already enabled for some users in a limited availability but it has now been rolled out for global use.

How It Works

The GIFs are sourced through Giphy’s library and can be accessed by tapping a new GIF button that’s on the side of your comment typing box.
