Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) are still pretty much still a work in progress in many parts of the world.
In Africa, many countries are still researching CBDCs with Nigeria being the only African country to launch a digital currency, the eNaira.
Ghana, Tunisia and South Africa are currently piloting their own CBDCs.
