Last week, Tech Nova hosted a Twitter Space conversation with the founder of Kudigo, Kingsley Abrokwah, and Nelson Seglah from Korba.

The hour-long discussion revolved around Kudigo’s new product launch called “Somtin Somtin”.

Somtin Somtin is an app from Kudigo which allows users to buy gift vouchers and redeem them at various merchant points in Ghana. Users can also share, send and top up their SomtinSomtin Gift Voucher, and earn loyalty points.

On the Twitter Space discussion, Kingsley discussed how the Somtin Somtin product was built in two months with their in-house developers at Kudigo. The process started with overviewing the current landscape of digital vouchers and conducting market research to gauge the viability of their product.

Kudigo is currently onboarding new merchants every day onto their Somtin Somtin platform and has major outlets like MaxMart already on board.

The Christmas season was a perfect time to launch especially for consumers who will be purchasing gifts for loved ones, family, and friends.

Kinsgley explained that the Somtin Somtin is built atop Kudigo’s rails and current merchants of the Kudigo platform will be able to use the gift features as well.

Kudigo is currently running a promo where new users signing up will receive 5 GHC for sign up and another 5 GHC if they refer a friend.

Somtin Somtin is currently focused on Ghana for now but there might be a consideration to launch in other countries including Nigeria.

Users can download the Somtin Somtin app from the iOS and Google Playstore. You can learn more about the platform from the website: Welcome to SomtinSomtin – Your Personal Gift Voucher & Loyalty App
