According to this WHO report, the level of healthy life in Africa is low compared to other regions and Africans have a life expectancy rate of 56 years. When compared to the life expectancy age of 77 years for their caucasian counterpart living in the United States, an almost 20 years disparity is apparent.
With the onset of technological innovation and various health tech sprouting forth across the continent, the health sector is experiencing a tangible shift. However, at the most fundamental level, there is still a need for leaders and experts in the industry to converse about new measures and strategies that can be further implemented to improve the sector. The Leaders in Health and Tech Summit is a yearly hybrid conference organized by MHM Health Consultancy. This summit promises to bring world leaders in the Health-tech sector under one roof to brainstorm solutions to issues plaguing Africa’s Health Sector. The event is an open-source health and technology event organized with the intent to showcase the latest leaders in healthcare, patient data, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and healthcare mobile solutions management technologies.
This Year’s summit which is scheduled to be held in Ghana from November 18th -19th is a two-day event. Day 1 will cover topics on medical insights and technology while Day 2 will include conversations about Nursing, allied staff, and innovation in e-health. The hybrid conference also promises to feature clinical presentations that will cover case studies as well as highlight innovative strategies by healthcare providers.
