Mark Zuckerberg in an announcement on Instagram’s new Channel feature, announced Meta’s new subscription verification service called “Meta Verified“.
The feature lets users verify their account with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra impersonation protection against accounts claiming to be them, and get direct access to customer support.
The Meta Verified service will start at $11.99/month on web or $14.99 / month on iOS.
The service will be rolling out in Australia and New Zealand this week and will expand to more countries soon.
