Yesterday, Tech Nova got invited to an influencer meeting with the team from the Ghana Tech Summit at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
This influencer meeting was an invite-only event which was to highlight Ghana and Africa’s forward-thinking influencers, policy makers and executives supporting business, tech, and innovation within the Ghana ecosystem.
The Ghana Tech Summit will officially take off from July 18 – 20, 2018 in Accra.
The event started with opening remarks by the founder of the Ghana Tech Summit, Einstein Kofi Ntim. He gave his background and the reason for Ghana Tech Summit.
Mr Ntim was followed by his wife, Christina Souffrant Ntim (founder of the Haiti Tech Summit and an entrepreneur), who gave her presentation on the Global Startup Ecosystem and the 12-year initiative where they plan to have annual summits in Ghana, hoping to attract 1000 participants and a 100 speakers, both foreign and local, for the events.
She also gave some background on the Haiti Tech Summit which she founded and got attention and attendance from personalities from Airbnb, Facebook and Google.
The Deputy Minister of Communications, Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei was in attendance and he gave his remarks about the upcoming Ghana Tech Summit event and noted how the government was in support of using technology in its work and highlighted some achievements including the digitizing of the ports and the digital property addressing system.
Other personalities included who gave remarks were Bradley Poku-Amankwah (LSE Summit) and Arnold Sarfo Kantanka who all talked about their initiatives and expectations for the upcoming Ghana Tech Summit.

About The Ghana Tech Summit
Ghana Tech Summit aims to bring together hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, digital marketers and creatives under one roof together to address humanity’s greatest challenges via technology and entrepreneurship. The central theme of the global summit is to “catalyze entrepreneurial and business ecosystems in emerging markets”.

The event is a 12 year initiative of the Global Startup Ecosystem(GSE)- the first and largest digital accelerator that accelerates 1000 companies to market annually across 190+ countries entirely online.
