The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) will be implementing the E-Levy bill officially on May 1st. The E-Levy bill will impose a 1.5% tax on specified digital transactions in Ghana.
But according to a letter from the GRA, it will roll out a “modified phased approach” implementation of the E-Levy instead of a full implementation.
But a spokesperson from the government recently contradicted the GRA, saying that the government is ready to “fully” implement the E-Levy on May 1st and that all issues have been addressed.
So will the E-Levy fully rollout on May 1st? Or will it be a phased approach?
We’ll update this story once we have more details.
