Standard Chartered Officially Inaugurates Their New Eco-Friendly Office Complex

On Wednesday, 3rd October, Standard Chartered officially inaugurated their new head office building on Independence Avenue in Accra.

The building meets Ghana’s approved green building standards and achieves the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification especially in energy savings and water efficiency.

The new head office complex has 13 floors. It has 650 workstations with 26 multi-purpose meeting rooms. The building also has a multi-faith room and a nursing station.

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, was in attendance for the inauguration. The Finance minister, Ken Offori Atta, was also in attendance.

Group CEO, Standard Chartered Plc, Bill Winters said, “Our investment in Ghana is another important strategic step to enable access to a pool of highly skilled talent who can support our ambitions to be an employer of choice.”
