US Plans For Ban On Laptops From European Flights Are “Off The Table”

For a moment, passengers planning to travel to the United States from Europe were not going to be able to carry their laptops on board flights to the US. But it looks like plans to make that happen have been taken off the table.

According to the Associated Press, the plan has been taken off the table for now. Security officials are considering other measures, including wide intelligence sharing and closer cooperation between countries.

Initially, the ban was going to be put in place because of intelligence reports that ISIS terrorists were planning to have devices in laptop devices.

So it looks like you may still be able to carry your laptops onto flights if you’re traveling from Europe to the United States. But circumstances could change.
