MTN’s Ayoba Chat App Now Allows Users To Make Mobile Money Transfers

MTN’s Ayoba message app now has the ability to allow mobile money transfers for its users.

MTN customers on Ayoba will be able to initiate mobile money in the chat functionality. They can send an amount of money, add a message, and confirm with their PINs.

The Mobile Money feature is available on the latest version of the app on the Android Playstore.

Digital Services Consultant for MTN, Dario Bianchi indicated that the activation of the money transfer option of MoMo creates more convenience for the customers as they do not have to leave the chat to initiate a transfer. 

He said, “MTN continues to live by its brand value of Innovation to continually provide solutions that create convenience for the customer.” 

The activation of the MoMo feature for MTN subscribers on Ayoba will contribute to deepening financial inclusion and further promote the use of digital options for financial transactions”, he added.

MTN customers can use the Ayoba service at no data cost. Customers who use the MoMo option can send 100 GHC daily to other MoMo customers, There is a service charge on transfers on the interoperability platform (ie sending to other users).
