Amazon, the popular US e-commerce company, is currently making plans to expand into five countries across Africa, Europe, and South America according to a report by Business Insider.
The countries the company plan to expand to include Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Nigeria, and South Africa.
According to the report, the rollout and expansions will be between 2022 and 2023.
Belgium’s marketplace, called Project Red Devil, is slated for a late September 2022, Project Salsa for Colombia is scheduled for February 2023, Project Fela for South Africa in February 2023, Nigeria and Chile in April 2023, and Chile according to the report.
The report also revealed that all countries are planning to launch their marketplace and access Amazon’s fulfillment service called ‘Fulfillment by Amazon.
Amazon’s Prime membership will be available in Belgium at launch and will be rolled out in the other countries soon after.
