Transportation Startup Treepz Launches Business Services; Piloting E-Bus Service

Treepz Ghana, a transportation platform startup launched its Business service last Friday in Accra as part of its 3-year anniversary. “Treepz Business” is a service that’s aimed at corporates, schools, churches, events, and tours.

Isidore Kpotufe, Treepz country manager, made the announcement at an event at the Treepz headquarters in Accra.

He gave a timeline of the company after operating for 3 years and highlighted its operations in three countries including Ghana, Nigeria, and Uganda. They also listed milestones including the piloting of their E-Bus service.

The company is currently working on different partnerships in Ghana including partnerships with the Ministry of Transportation and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU).

Treepz E-Bus Service

The company’s E-Bus service is currently in the pilot phase with no definite timeline on when it will launch.

The buses are expected to have a passenger capacity of 16-30 riders and have charging times of 2-3 hours.

Treepz is hoping to attract more investors to the EV space and they’re working with companies including Total and Goil on charging infrastructure.
