Linking your mobile money account to your bank account makes it easier to move money, pay bills, and access digital financial services without visiting the bank. It also reduces your reliance on cash and queues.
Most banks in Ghana support MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, and AirtelTigo Money integration. You can link your bank account either through USSD, your banking app, or by visiting a bank branch.
Steps to link your MoMo account:
For MTN MoMo users:
- Dial *170#
- Select option 5 (Financial Services)
- Choose option 1 (Bank Services)
- Select Transfer to Bank
- Choose your bank from the list
- Enter your bank account number
- Confirm with your MoMo PIN
You’ll receive an SMS confirmation if successful.
Using your bank’s app (e.g., GCB, CalBank, Ecobank):
- Open the app and log in
- Look for Mobile Money Services or Wallet Linking
- Select your mobile network
- Enter your mobile number and confirm with OTP or MoMo PIN
- Save changes
