The food app competition in Ghana appears to be growing.
Chop Time is an app that is aiming to bring food takeaways to customers’ doors with the push of a button within a 30 min timescale.
Currently, the app has over 1000 restaurants on its platform. Orders can be made via the app and be delivered by couriers including registered taxi drivers, bikers, and cyclists who are vetted when they sign up.
For payment, users can pay via card, cash or mobile money. The service which will initially only be available in Accra is expected to roll out to the rest of the regions.
“It (Chop Time App) has been custom-built to suit local needs, including the option of paying digitally or cash. At the touch of a button, Ghanaian residents are now conveniently and easily connected to their favorite restaurants,” Capt. Bessem Bikhazi, Founder says.
Chop Time App, will be available for download from either the App Store or Google Playstore. Orders can also be made using a dedicated website.
Capt Bikhazi added, “Through Chop Time we would like to make eating well effortless for residents of Ghana every day by providing a wide and nutritious selection. In this way, we are also supporting the growth of local restaurants using technology to build their business by opening their doors to more virtual customers, as well as access to actionable data and analytics that can make their business more profitable and efficient. For our delivery partners, we are creating new flexible economic opportunities by providing work at the push of a button”.
