The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has enabled public sector workers including Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to work from home with use of the Smart Workplace Portal.

The Smart Workplace Portal includes access to Microsoft Office applications, document management, Instant Messaging (IM), audio and video conferencing, calendar management and file storage management.

Public service workers will be able to access the portal through a desktop or mobile device.

NITA will ensure connectivity for public workers with sponsored data in partnership with the telecom companies.
