WhatsApp’s New Update On iOS Adds Picture-in-Picture for Video Calls

WhatsApp has finally started to roll out picture-in-picture mode for video calls on iOS.

The messaging platform started testing the new feature last year which allowed users to open other apps while on a video call.

WhatsApp says they are rolling out the new feature “over the coming weeks”. Other features which will come with the update include the ability to add captions when sending documents, support for longer descriptions and subjects for groups, and the introduction of personalized avatars that you can use as stickers and profile photos.
