Spotify has launched its new feature called Jam, a personalized, real-time listening session for your group to tune into together.

Details

With Jam, Premium subscribers will be able to invite others to contribute through a shared queue and enjoy their music together. The feature is rolling out to all users today.

How Jam works

To use the feature, users can invite a selected number of people squad to a jam session. Users can select a playlist and select “Start A Jam” by clicking the speaker icon at the bottom of the screen or hitting the three-dot menu within their favorite playlist, album, or song.

Everyone in the Jam can add songs to the queue, see who added which song, and receive recommendations, all from their own devices. The host also has the ability to determine who’s in the Jam, change the order of the tracks, or remove a song.

Users can also invite users through Bluetooth, scanning a QR code on the host screen, or using the share button to send the link through social, text, SMS, and more
